Painting
for almost all her life, Yvonne Dagger's art reveals the way she
perceives life. Each painting is an invitation, calling on viewers
to examine everyday moments, experiences and emotions.
There
is an expressiveness to each piece of art that allows the viewer
to enter into her vision of the world. In Yvonnes paintings,
she composes a paradox of loose and subtle yet thick and deliberate
strokes touched by nuanced delicacies. She is intensely aware of
the myriad of ways that mere pigment can take on life. The juxtaposed
color and subtleties add richness and depth to each work of art.
Her paintings evoke life. They engage you to see something in the
ordinary that you had never seen before.
